We offer these very light MTB carbon handlebars with 6° and 9° backsweep of the grip ends in order to also equip riders who prefer grip ends that are bent more to the rear.

Construction

Like all our products, our SL full carbon MTB handlebars are also wound by hand (about carbon). The layer structure developed over 30 years of production experience, with up to 18 layers in the heavily stressed centre section and only 4 layers in the less stressed grip area, enables the low weights despite the well-known stiffness and indestructibility required in cross-country.

Ordering information

We offer these lightweight carbon handlebars for fans of the classic thinner and shorter MTB handlebars, so that they can still be used with the thin stems of some older MTBs with a diameter of 25.4 mm. Due to the bar end reinforcement, these lightweight carbon MTB handlebars can only be shortened by up to 5 mm on each side. So make sure you order the right width for your requirements! If you are not planning to use bar ends, opt for the TLO version! These handlebars are another 15 g lighter without sacrificing strength and reliability. These thin-walled carbon handlebars can be supplemented with our customised carbon handlebar plugs.

Surface finish

All our lightweight carbon MTB flat bars are not painted to avoid adding unnecessary weight and because the epoxy surface is much more resistant than any paint. It is therefore not scratched so quickly. Our lightweight carbon MTB handlebars with 6° come in the latest matt look. The classic carbon MTB handlebars with 9° come in the usual high-gloss finish. SL MTB bars come in the classic 1k weave carbon look with (biaxial) crossed fibres. Find out more about 1k here.
