TLO MTB Wheelset 32″

With 32″ wheels you have improved roll-over performance, lower rolling resistance off-road and more grip and cornering stability. With our TLO MTB Wheelset you will ride smoother with greater comfort and especially as a tall rider you will have improved geometry.

Optimized U-Shape

Optimum force transmission from the spokes via the nipples into the rim. Less material is needed to stabilize the flanks – the shape’s design for force flow allows for optimized fiber placement and high stability with low weight. The specially optimized shape gives the tire the optimal fit and thus promotes grip on gravel paths. With the TLO MTB rim you will never lose your grip. The special shape makes it possible for the rim to function completely without a hook.

Internal / external width

Internal 30,5 mm (front) / 28,5 mm (rear) and external 37 mm (front) / 38,6 mm (rear) width – optimal for mounting all usual MTB tires. It is essential to ensure that you install a tubeless-capable tire!

Intend use

XCO and downhill – the TLO MTB rim feels at home on any terrain, whether on flowy XC rides or on a rough single track. Extensive tests have confirmed this. The TLO MTB rim is optimized for impact resistance, and the wheel can easily handle even rough impacts.

Spokes

We use steel spokes from the Belgian manufacturer SAPIM on all of our wheels. With the CX-Ray elliptic spoke we installed, Sapim has succeeded in developing an exceptional spoke. In addition to its low weight, it has exceptional load capacity and flexibility. This also results in the large area of ​​application. Regardless of whether it is a racing bike, gravel or MTB wheelset, they all benefit from these positive properties. In addition, the flattened middle section ensures excellent aerodynamics. The high quality of the materials enables the construction of stable wheels and guarantees a long service life.

Coupled with the very low weight, the DT Swiss 180 hub is the perfect match for all parameters that are important for Schmolke standards. The extremely reliable freewheel system ensures direct power transmission even under the highest loads. Smooth-running SINC Ceramic bearings provide a clear advantage with their extremely low rolling resistance.

Wheel building

The TLO Gravel wheels are painstakingly laced and centered by our wheel builder. This is done in our workshop in Konstanz on beautiful Lake Constance. Great care is taken to ensure that each wheel is finished with optimal concentricity and the correct spoke tension. In order to optimize the fit of the spokes, our TLO Gravel wheels are machine pressed several times with a precisely defined force. This means that you as a customer do not have to have the wheels re-centered after a short time, but can enjoy the full driving pleasure of the wheels straight away and without any restrictions.
