Ergonomics

With a reach of 73 mm and a drop of 125 mm (400 mm width outside – outside), our Evo road handlebar is ergonomically designed for both the drop and the brake lever position. The involute curve of the drops allow you to find an aerodynamic but not too low position on your bike. When riding on the brake handles, the almost horizontal front part of the drops ensures an uninterrupted line with the brake handles, which optimally relieves your wrists even on long rides. The flattened top allows you to have an anatomical and comfortable grip even in the top position. In order to achieve extreme rigidity with minimal weight, the top bar was not designed to be too flat. In addition, the lightweight carbon handlebar has recessed cable grooves on the underside, for those who do not want to have to laboriously route the cables in the racing handlebar. The levers are easy to reach even with small hands.

Construction

Like all of our products, our SL full carbon road handlebars are wrapped by hand. (about carbon). The layer structure, developed over 30 years of production experience, with up to 17 layers in the heavily stressed middle section and only 5 layers in the lightly stressed lower arch, enables the incredible weights despite the well-known rigidity and legendary indestructibility.

Ordering information

Note that we measure our carbon drop bars from the outside out. As standard, our road bike handlebars are not intended for use with triathlon or time trial handlebars. If you would like to use your lightweight carbon handlebar with an aero handlebar, please let us know when ordering. The necessary reinforcement increases the weight of the carbon bar by around 7 g. All of our drop bars can be shortened by 10 mm at their ends. Commercial customers are usually supplied with standard handlebars, i.e. without time trial handlebar reinforcement. These thin-walled carbon handlebars can be complemented with our custom carbon brake levers and carbon handlebar plugs

Surface

All of our lightweight carbon roadbars are not painted to avoid adding unnecessary weight. Above all, the epoxy surface is much more resistant than any paint. So it won’t get scratched so quickly. All of our lightweight carbon drop handlebars come in the current matt look. SL drop bars come in the classic 1k fabric carbon look with (biaxially) crossed fibers.
