Ergonomics

With a reach between 73 mm to 78 mm and a drop of 125 mm to 126 mm, this roadbar cockpit is ergonomically designed for both the drop and the brake lever position. The 6° flare of the drops lets you find an aerodynamic but not too low position on your bike. When riding on the hoods, the almost horizontal front part of the drops ensures an uninterrupted line with the brake levers, which optimally relieves your wrists even on long rides. The flattened top allows an anatomical and comfortable grip even in the top position. In order to achieve extreme rigidity with minimal weight, the top bar was deliberately not designed to be too flat. As an integrated handlebar and stem unit, the carbon cockpit weighing only 222 g also offers full internal cable routing, without laboriously threading the cables through the racing handlebar. The levers are easy to reach even with small hands. Available in 400, 420 and 440 mm widths with 90, 100 or 110 mm stem length and minus 6° stem angle. The fine 1K weave comes with black or white logos.

Construction

Like all our products in the TLO series, our lightweight full carbon roadbars are hand-wound (about carbon) from the best prepregs available on the market to suit your weight and riding style. The layer structure, which has been further refined over 34 years of production experience, with up to 17 layers in the heavily loaded centre section and only 5 layers in the less stressed lower curve, enables the incredible weights despite the well-known stiffness and legendary indestructibility.

Ordering information

Please note that we measure our carbon drop bars from the outside to the outside. Our roadbars are not designed for use with triathlon or time trial handlebars. Commercial customers are usually supplied with standard handlebars which can be supplemented with our customised carbon brake levers and carbon bar plugs.

Fully ICR

The lightweight roadbars are available with holes for internal cable routing (ICR). These handlebars have 2 holes: one each in the inside curve at brake handle height on the left and right side, and cenral access in the middle of the stem.

Surface options

All our lightweight carbon roadbars are unpainted to avoid adding unnecessary weight. Above all, the epoxy surface is much more resistant than any paint finish. It is therefore not scratched as quickly. All our lightweight carbon drop handlebars come in the current matt look. TLO drop bars can be ordered in 1k. 1K is the classic carbon look with (biaxially) crossed fibres. Learn more about UD and 1k here
