The 6° backsweep of the grip ends is currently regarded as the optimum angle for comfort in cross-country. The 15 mm upsweep means you can always turn the handlebars to the best ergonomic position. The width of up to 800 mm enables constant control and smooth steering even in technically demanding areas. To achieve the superior stiffness of the lightweight carbon handlebars, we let the ø 31.8 mm clamping area extend as far as possible over 280 mm to the usual 22.2 mm grip ends, which is perfect for wide handlebars in particular. You can even mount classic bar ends on these lightweight carbon MTB handlebars to give you one more grip position.
Like all our products, our lightweight full carbon MTB risers are wound by hand (about carbon). The layer structure developed over 30 years of production experience, with up to 20 layers in the heavily stressed centre section and only 4 layers in the less stressed grip area, enables the low weights despite the high stiffness and indestructibility required in cross-country.
Due to the bar end reinforcement, our lightweight carbon low risers can only be shortened by up to 5 mm on each side. So make sure you order the right width for your requirements! Bar ends cannot be used on these lightweight carbon handlebars! If you are not planning to use bar ends, opt for the TLO version! This handlebar is another 15 g lighter without losing any of its strength and reliability. These thin-walled carbon handlebars can be supplemented with our customised carbon handlebar plugs.
All our lightweight carbon MTB lowrizers are not painted to avoid adding unnecessary weight and because the epoxy surface is much more resistant than any paint. It is therefore not scratched as quickly. All our lightweight carbon MTB risers come in the current matt look. SL risers come in the classic 1k weave carbon look with (biaxial) crossed fibres.
